Neural Retraining Preparation
Prior to your first neural retraining session, I recommend reviewing the following introductory resources.
- Please allow 1.5 - 2 hours for this review.
- In addition, I recommend allowing enough time to complete this review before the day of your session so you will not feel rushed or under pressure on the day of our session.
Introduction to Neural Retraining
- Quick Intro to Neuroplasticity (2+ minute video)
- Neuroplasticity Made Simple (1+ minute video)
- The Brain That Changes Itself (52 minute documentary) = Dramatic introduction to the power of the brain's innate neuroplasticity and the potential of neural retraining. < Highly Recommended!
- Root Cause = Background and context for understanding how the mental, emotional and physical stresses in our lives can impair the normal, healthy functioning of the central nervous system.
- Please Note: Understanding this "root cause" dynamic is especially important if you have had a history of trauma.
- EFT Tapping Introduction (4+ minute video) = Step-by-step introduction to the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
- EFT is a safe and gentle method for gradually releasing and transforming the energies associated with troubling thoughts and emotions.
- Depending on the issues you would like to explore during our dialogue session, EFT can be a great (optional) resource we can adapt to support your own unique neural retraining process.
- Learn more about Metta's Approach to Neural Retraining.
- Please Note: If you are a student of another neural retraining program, it is especially important to understand how my approach to neural retraining compares with, and differs from, the approaches of other popular neural retraining programs
The following resources provide additional support for beginning the neural retraining process, and can be reviewed at your leisure, either before or after our session:
