Tesla Model 3

The Model 3 saw the biggest increase in prices, with the Long Range trim going up by $3,000 and the Performance trim seeing a raise of $2,500.
Tesla’s Model 3 price increase in late 2021 that removed the most affordable Tesla from rebate contention. Despite the Model 3’s current exclusion from the program, thousands of Model 3 customers benefited from rebates in early 2022 due to the timing of their order in 2021.

Tesla (https://driveteslacanada.ca/tag/tesla) has updated their website with huge price cuts for all of their vehicles in Canada on Thursday night. While it wasn’t the biggest price cut, the most important price cut goes to the Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant as it now falls below the threshold for the $5,000 iZEV incentive.
Late in 2021 Tesla increased the price of the Model 3 RWD (https://driveteslacanada.ca/model-3/tesla-increases-model-3-and-model-y-prices-in-canada-again-making-the-entry-level-model-3-ineligible-for-the-izev-rebate/) to $59,990, putting it above the $55,000 threshold for the $5,000 iZEV incentive in Canada. Since it was no longer under that threshold Tesla also removed the software-limited 151km variant priced under $45,000, which allowed the RWD variant to also qualify under the program’s rules.
Until tonight the entry-level variant was still priced at $59,990, but now that price has been reduced to $54,990, putting it below the iZEV threshold. However, during that time Transport Canada also updated the program requirements and increased the threshold from $45,000 to $55,000, meaning the Model 3 RWD is once again eligible for the iZEV incentive.
