There are other similarities with Kirby’s famous creative burst in the mid to late 1970’s and ideas you are exploring on your site. In the short-lived OMAC series, a world government bio-engineers a super-human agent, a One Man Army Corps. A secret, techno-elite bureaucracy called the Global Peace Agency controls him.

In this series, Kirby forecast Real Dolls, virtual reality, non-lethal weaponry, a kind of ramped-up organ harvesting, water wars and genetically engineered Beasts of the Apocalypse that would make DARPA drool.”

I’m quite interested in Kirby’s uncanny anticipations of imagined worlds and always impressed with his call the human spirit and his implicit and explicit championing of liberty and freedom. Kirby faced dangerous duty in WWII, serving as a scout drawing reconnaissance maps.
