From page 5:

Cohen (2003) writes:

"I AM fascinated that a prominent Native American lawyer supports this separation of data from interpretation. I had always thought that a lawyer’s competence was measured by his ability to select facts that can be woven into impressive and convincing fantasies! Is it really preferable to leave interpretation entirely to the readers? In any case, doen’t description always involve translation and interpretation?"

From page 14: Cohen says:

“My HOPE for “Honoring the Medicine” is that it will make you an appreciative student and inspire respectful dialogue with people of diverse cultures and viewpoints. I advise applying a balance of open-mindedness, humility, and healthy skepticism to everything you read about Native American Healing, whether written by” Native American or non-Native American authors."
