In January 2021, Northrop Grumman Corporation started conducting research and development activities on a vital battlefield airborne communications system involving unmanned and manned aircraft. The company bagged a five-year contract worth USD 3.6 billion from the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center for this research program.
