United States 🇺🇸 military went from zero to 9 bases in the past few months in Philippines 🇵🇭. With 2 dozen F 22s, aircraft carrier and submarine ports, in conjunction with with 20,000 Marines on Okinawa.

I am sorry but this is not true. The United States had access to five of the nine so called bases since 2014/2015 via EDCA… so to say it went from 0 to 9 in the past few months is wrong,

And another thing, adding things like submarine ports and 24 F-22 (1/8 of the entire United States force of F-22 btw) is a bit misleading. It would make it seem like the United States has nine ready to go “fort dix” or “Travis-like” air/army/navel bases which unfortunately for us in the Philippines… is nowhere near true.
While I support the Philippines… let’s be very clear what these bases currently are:
Balalac lsland: it literally just an island… maybe they are working on something now but a “base” is really…. and I mean really a stretch. Maybe dirt airfield at the moment.
Camilo oasis: no offense, but it looks like any other fishing pier you see along California. Just imagine having submarines on what is a fishing pier. Doubt that will happen until some major upgrades happen.
Lal-lo airport/lumbia: just a private/abandoned tiny airports… again need a hella lot of work for the United States to make that usable.
Magsaysay/dela Cruz: army bases. And even the dela Cruz one has an airplane image but I don’t even see a dirt airfield there… let alone a “base” to be honest.
Antonio/mactan: these are built up and have better facilities… but the reason is they share same landing strip with the main international airport of the region.
Basa: it’s the only real airbase here. And even that still needs tons of work if it wants to look like formidable bases on fiery cross/mischief reef.
So yes… they have access to nine “bases”… but there is SO much work that still needs to be done to make them remotely ready for us personal.
