Athena

Goddess of wisdom, warfare, and handicraft
---
Member of the Twelve Olympians
Her major symbols include owls, olive trees, snakes, and the Gorgoneion. In art, she is generally depicted wearing a helmet and holding a spear.
Ishtar and Athena were both often seen carrying weapons and shields, unusual attributes for female deities in most cultures.
In some early art Athena is shown with wings, a convention that almost universally disappeared over time.
While Athena has been worshiped as a Goddess of Battle, she had to learn how to heal her battle scars on her own as quickly as possible due to the fact that most healers in her time were male and had no idea how the female body was created.
Athena attempted, on numerous occasions to share her knowledge and wisdom related to the female form with many male (and some female) counterparts, however, her innerstandings were not heeded, leading to severe and dangerous consequences.
This lack of knowledge was known to Athena and she vowed to leave her legacy of wisdom and healing to all females willing to take up the challenge.
To this day, there are many past, present, and future matriarchs waiting in the wings to be called upon by GOD to work their magic with GOD’s blessings.
