Some of the Climatographers’ favorite CliFi works are:
- Paolo Bacigalupi’s Windup Girl is about a future in which the climate has changed. People have adapted to that change. The book doesn’t preach about climate change, and doesn’t try to hit anyone over the head. But it’s a great story that gives the reader a sense of what future generations might have to deal with in their daily lives. It’s great Cli-Fi.
- James Powell’s 2084: An Oral History of the Great Warming,
- Kim Stanley Robinson’s New York 2140,
- David Mitchell’s The Bone Clocks
- Nathaniel Rich’s Odds Against Tomorrow.
But that’s just for starters. We’ve read lots of good CliFi.
