Climate Books
Hundreds of books have been written about climate change. Even more daunting is the fact that even if you’re primarily interested in climate change, some of the most valuable reading you can do involves books that aren't about climate change per se. They may be about human decision-making or human behavior, for example.
We have not read all of the books that might be particularly relevant to you, but we probably have read many more than you have had the opportunity to read. One way to categorize climate books is by those focused on climate change itself, including those shown below. The first grouping reflects books that aren't all non-fiction books, but they are intended to help readers better understand the phenomenon and implications of climate change.

Another way to categorize books is by those focused on some of the bigger political and societal variables around climate change, like those shown below.

Last is a category of books not necessarily focused on climate change perhaps, but focusing on key challenges associated with tackling climate change. Climate psychology, willful blindness, and other factors.

You can access summaries for several of these books in the Plex at left. In most cases you'll see a link allowing you to purchase the book at bookshop.com, a new independent bookseller response to amazon.com. We are an affiliate of bookshop.com, and will receive a commission on any books purchased.
