Michael, happened to note that you’d signed up to the Climate Web Club. Good to have you on-board.

I wanted to take this opportunity to fill you in a bit more on the Climate Web and how you can leverage it. This page is actually in the Climate Web, and I’ve sent you the URL to it, but you can also access it at any time simply by searching for your name in the Climate Web (which you can easily access at

https://www.theclimateweb.org

Other people could theoretically run across this page if they were to search for your name, but that seems unlikely. And I won’t put anything confidential on the page.

The advantage of a page like this is that I can very easily point you to places in the Climate Web you might want to go, and they won’t get lost in an email. I can also easily add links to this page without having to send you an email every single time. While you can’t communicate with me through this page, I can in effect respond to your emails through the page. And I can modify the page as we go.

So, a quick introduction:

You’ve been introduced to the Climate Web a bit through Your Climate Risk MBA. It is a massive knowledge management system covering hundreds of topics and representing more than 25,000 hours of knowledge curation. Its front door is always available to you via the .2 Premium Access thought, and that is a great place to explore. I’m not going to repeat here content available there and elsewhere, but simply point you to it.

Index Entries serve as topical front doors into the Climate Web, and you can access A LOT of content through Index Entries. Here are a couple of specific ones:

If you let me know more granular topics you’d like me to point you to, I can include them here.

You can explore the Climate Web on-line, but that does not compare to having it on your own computer (MUCH faster, MUCH more powerful). So remember that if you get frustrated with on-line exploration. We’re also expecting a substantial upgrade to the on-line software in the next few weeks!

You can access our Climate Web enabled courses, including a Climate Web Users Guide course, through this page.

Michael, I’ll leave it there for now and see whether you follow up on my email and express interest in using this page to help leverage the Climate Web going forward! If not, I’ll simply delete the page!

Regards,

Mark
