Our Mini-Course on "Insuring Climate Change" will explore the increasingly complicated intersection of climate change and the insurance industry. The rapid surge in interest around this topic is driven by the escalating frequency and severity of climate-related events, which are already beginning to transform insurance markets worldwide, and climate change has barely gotten underway. As insurers and insurance regulators grapple with the challenge of accurately pricing risk in an era of unprecedented environmental change, the future for both insurance providers and purchasers is fraught with uncertainty. This Mini-Course introduces the issues and questions to be aware of if digging into this and related topics, while pointing you to additional resources for digging more deeply.
