HELP: Google vs. the Premium Access Climate Web

Google vs. Climate Web

Google is an amazing resource. But what does fishing for climate knowledge with Google actually get you?

Google will direct you to lists of millions or even tens of millions of "hits" in response to any climate-relevant search query. If you're prepared to scroll through all of those hits, you might find the actionable knowledge you need. But since most of us don't get past the first page, the likelihood of doing so is actually very small.

In addition, a Google Search won't provide you with a lot of insight into the ideas and other potentially actionable knowledge that's within the sources it is pointing you to.

What's different about the Climate Web?

Instead of pointing you to millions of hits, the Climate Web reflects the curation of huge amounts of information to help you get a lot closer to information that may be able to serve as "your" actionable knowledge.  The Climate Web helps you explore a specific topic, or the topics likely to be of interest to a particular audience.
