350 ppm Emergency Narrative

The 350 ppm Future best represents what might be term the "risk averse" climate conversation. It is being advocated for by many scientists and activists as the only way to avoid many the implications of dangerous climate change. But is a 350 ppm Future even possible based on current science, and what would it look like? What would be required from a carbon budget perspective to bring it about? What policies and measures would be required to shift carbon budgets to the necessary extent? If a 350 ppm Future is achieved, what physical and societal impacts of climate change would still likely manifest, with what remaining uncertainties and risks? These are among the questions that we'll tackle in this session.
