Barnard, Mike
Mike Barnard is a technology writer for CleanTechnica, is a top writer for Quora.com (where he has answered more than 8,000 questions), and authors The Future is Electric on Medium.
While the Climate Web organizes books, reports, and journal articles by authors, it generally doesn't organize and attribute blog and opinion pieces to journalists and bloggers by name.
We've made an exception in Mike Barnard's case because his work is both topical and technical in nature. He is not just reporting about or providing his opinion on climate topics, he often provides insightful technical analysis. In fact, Mike's combined body of work is one way to track the evolving interface between climate change and technology.
For now the Climate Web provides access to Mike's work in very simple ways:
Barnard Blogs 2019
Note that all of the listed blogs are integrated into the Climate Web, allowing you to click on parent thoughts that organize a lot more information relating to an individual topic.
The last of these links will take you to a partial collection of Quora questions to which Mike has provided insightful answers. The list will continue to grow as we organize more than 1,000 Quora questions in the Climate Web.
Note that all of the links shown above take you to a "Tagged Collection" of thoughts. Instead of physical links, Tags are used to pull the information together. If you click on a thought the "Tagged Structure" will seem to disappear. Just use your Browser's Backspace Key to return to the original Tagged Structure after taking a look at the material.
Mike has produced a lot of information that is organized here. The information can be sliced and diced in many other ways as desired, including creating a mini-brain specific to this material that would make it very easy for anyone to access on their phone or tablet.
