Flight Training Security Program (3.4)
The mission of the FTSP is to ensure that foreign students, seeking training at flight schools regulated by the FAA, do not pose a threat to aviation or national security.

Independent flight instructors that are not associated with a flight school, must register for a provider account on the FTSP website. This is required even if the school or instructor only trains U.S. citizens.

- good for 5 years and any number of training events unless terminated earlier by the TSA (less than 5 years if the candidate is no longer authorized to remain in the United States)
When the documents have been presented and the individual is verified as a U.S. Citizen, either
- make a copy of the documents for your or the flight school’s records or
- place an endorsement in your logbook and the client’s logbook per 49 CFR 1552.7(a).
