Guys, Please.

Okay. I realize I'm letting my biased, paternal side take over, but I am dealing with an abuse victim here just like the rest of you are. Jill is getting more and more despondent that no one will just say hello to her, and of course as a father figure, I'm getting a little overprotective. I realize we're both becoming irrational at this point; she's paranoid and I'm getting agitated, but seriously, is it really too much just to stop and say "hi" to the new kids? I'm going to stop here before I say anything too irrational, but it is seriously leaving the impression that this place is not what it claims to be.

I genuinely apologize if I just came off as too demanding or aggressive, but... excuse me for melting into a puddle of goo here, but just like any father, I will stand up for my gum drop and protect her. I have insight into myself and have a history of grandiose delusions, but I do not think it's too much to expect a little courtesy when it's been demonstrated to others in the past. It's not like we're demanding praise or for everyone to drop everything to tend to us. She just wants you to pop your head in the door and give her a wave, is that seriously too much?

I'm genuinely sorry. I'm ranting and moving into fit pitching territory. So I will just say this and leave it at that: You are reenacting the same pattern she's had to put up with all her life.
