Senory overload

The other day we went out into the out side world for the first time in nearly three months. It was overly frightening and scary. The over stimulation caused us to became sick, panicked, cause us to have a headache, eyes and ears to hurt. The outside world was overly bright and noisy.

We have always had some degree of issues with Senory Intergation Disfunction/Senory Processing Disfunction. Also once known long ago as signal intergation disorder.Things being to bright, to loud, cloths and shoes hurt etc. but the other days was one of the worse experences with this issue we have ever had. It made us feel realy ill for a couple of days after having such sensory over load.

We have been looking but not a lot of information on (SID/SPD) as it pertains to persons with DID

Do others on the forum face this some issue and how do you deal with it? Does this Sensory over load make you dizzy, foggy and ill? Does being on overload cause you to feel confused?

A lot of information on this issue we found is mostly for children and those on the Autism spectrum disorder. Also interesting to note that it is not an officially acknowleged disorder still today.
