Therapy Advice.

Joined May 2012 and posted twice. I settled for reading, along with a bunch of other websites to learn more about my dx. August 2014, I got enough courage to contribute to my own healing, self help wise and I used this website and a email group, but mostly this site as a way to outlet words from us over the course of my journey. I gained a whole of the understanding from various websites, but also as I've lived life outside of therapy and also while in sessions. I want to talk more openly with my next therapist about inside, my stories, my struggles, just everything. I want to talk about my initial experiences in therapy at 13 years, 1993, which from what I was told was family therapy because mom and my siblings had just relocated out of state it was to help us because we was now separated from our father. My sister and I never cried, but my brothers took the relocation hard, they cried. I don't remember any of the sessions, but just the reason my mom said we attended. I struggle big time with trust of therapist, and I honestly feel I/we was the victim of therapist abuse. I feel though, I can get past that hurdle and I honestly believe in therapy talk, and psychiatrist, they help more than hurt. I'm also a possible aspiring psychology major next month. I want my new therapist to feel needed, but I get mad when they act like they are not qualified and trained to help. How can I make that part of me hush? I want to go deeper with a therapist that actually knows more than me without making it some big brain show lol... Then, again I can read research papers on the topic and just get it and understand, but not expertise level. Maybe I should keep that part of me and save it for school, the speech lol.</p>
