It seems the problem is not knowing any of the parts so far. My next thought would be to wonder how long its been and how do you know that you have multiple personalities? Has the situation affected the writer before? How? If there was some real knowledge of being multiple, then the system will work at its own pace, and for the most part not a day sooner. We're not sure either when the writer writes that the switches are uncomfortable for her ... like are they uncomfortable to all the parts, just one, the core? The predicament is a bit sketchy. We don't know why the writer is uncomfortable or what that might feel like. I suppose that if you had parts and didn't like or understand the parts that were out, you might be uncomfortable, but at least in our system, we were curious and open to the communications and once parts felt safe, they would express themselves and seem to lift some of the veils. I would think it is always preferable to know the parts, but again ... they take their own time depending there comfort/trust level. I think we ask ourselves frequently why such and such happened? or what does that mean? Seems for us that we've gotten to know each other a lot by asking questions and waiting for the answer, or being "present on stage" when important conversations were being made. Like if someone asks you did you see the pink elephant? And, they said yes, then after you switch, you can ask the same question, and you'd either get a yes or a no to seeing the pink elephant depending on whether or not the parts were co-conscious. Our direct conversation happens automatically, especially if there's a little tussle on "being out front." Other times ... just keep asking questions.</p></div></li></ul></div></div></div>
