Protector thoughts & behavior-Trigger?

Processing something that happened this morning. I've been pretty stable lately, minimal switching and then that thing happened that triggered my Pro part out front.

My husband watched the switch and he had a conversation with my Protector which is usually a heated topic or discussion with a lot of anger type emotions. I was co-conscious though very disoriented and foggy afterwards. It felt like I was possessed. I noticed something very interesting this time.

When I was in "Protector-mode" tears were falling out of my eyes. It did not seem like I was crying and the Protector does not cry. It was "hopeless" bleeding through the Protector front and then I realized this Protector is protecting me from a "hopeless" switch. SO for a few minutes I felt both anger and raw whatever directly on top of "hopeless"... This Pro part of me is the most distinctly (not me) part that I have. I think it's a male part about 15-17 years old and he seems to be protecting me from 'hopeless' memories and current situations that look similar.

Anyway, I thought this was worth mentioning since these protector parts can kind of stir things up in our relationships and any understanding we can have of them will help us with our spouses and significant others.
