sadmoontrash:

Something that really makes me sad, and that I have noticed is really common, is that people who have alters have a hard time telling others that they have them, and so the alters don’t get to interact with people as much as they may like to.

Please feel free to correct me if I am mistaken

And even if someone has told them, we still hide because of this thing called stigma.

Everyone around us knows about our DID, but we still act like Scar 90% of the time. Even around close friends we don’t announce being out because, well, we get scared. Some can tell just by the stuff we do unconsciously, but we barely ever say we’re out anymore.
