Former star running back Herschel Walker called it "extremely sad" that Adrian Peterson is in more trouble with the law and said he needs to get long-term help regarding a child-abuse charge before he should be allowed to return to the NFL.

The Vikings running back was indicted last month in Texas on a felony charge of child abuse involving his 4-year old son. On Thursday, a district attorney prosecuting Peterson asked a judge to revoke his bond and issue an arrest warrant after he admitted smoking marijuana before a drug test.
