help identifying an alter's role? ;n;

Ughhhh, sorry to be making another post, but one of my 'others' -- Claire -- told my mum today about DID and a lot of what it entails, particularly regarding alters. My mum took it well because she's really supportive, but now I'm struggling with another 'other' (or maybe two of them, I can't really tell right now) being furious and uncomfortable about it, but I'm not very sure why aside from the fact that they're very insistent about not having DID and wanting to forget about everything.

I know why Claire did it and I support her decision because it was logically the right thing to do, and she's always the one who reaches out to people for help so I'm grateful for that, but unfortunately the one present for most therapy sessions is the same one who's annoyed that she told. They don't really like each other (well, Louise doesn't like Claire but Claire is fairly understanding so I think she just doesn't like being treated like she is more than not liking Louise specifically).

Some days are just harder than others, I guess. I'm getting a little sick of it :( I don't have an SO to lean on at times like this so I end up just watching mindless television shows like Family Guy and Malcolm in the Middle all day :roll:

I'm just wondering, though, if all alters have purposes? I only really know two with definite purposes, an ISH and a protector (of the aggressively defensive nature), and I have no idea what role someone like Claire is supposed to fill, judging from what I could find about common alter types. Unless maybe I'm just not recognising her as one, which is completely possible too.
