"scatterbrained" vs switching versus dissociative amnesia

Postby Nondescript » Mon Mar 02, 2015 5:15 am

I am having a lot of memory lapses, micro kinds of things. like I pick out clothes for my daughter from the drawer and bring them to the other room, and find another complete set there already picked out that no one could have done. or I print out some papers one minute, and within a couple of minutes, they are no where to be found. or I forgot that I have already cooked dinner (and a cooked meal is in a pot in the fridge), and start to cook dinner again after lamenting that there's nothing for dinner. and it is a common for me to run into people who seem to feel very comfortable with me, but I can't remember how I know them. I know I have always struggled with being scatterbrained, but it seems much harder right now. it's very hard.

not sure if this is from switching or just dissociative amnesia or maybe some ADDish thing. I have an uncle who supposedly has ADHD and he used to do all this kind of stuff.

I know my therapist would say "ask inside," but it's foggy in there. and it is scary to know even if I want to know.

not sure what the point of this post is.
