Workflowy Benefits & Limitations
Workflowy's apps are available on multiple platforms, and Workflowy includes several great features I've not found elsewhere, including mirrors and dashboards.

Benefits for Personal Task Management

- "Mirrored" items are visible in multiple locations throughout the library, which facilitates access from various project management vantage points. IMHO, this feature is absolutely invaluable!

- Paragraph and heading options allow for document creation without visible bullets.
- Browser. mobile apps and desktop access allows you to access and update your task database from anywhere
Benefits for Public Information Sharing
- Private and public sharing options, including instant presentations.
- Fully responsive user interface for convenient access in the browser, on the desktop and on mobile devices.
- Clean, simple and user-friendly outline navigation.
- Resources can be "mirrored" (visible) in multiple locations throughout the library, which facilitates access between related content areas.
- Comprehensive search, including the option of easily finding recently added and updated content.
- The entire library can also be downloaded by readers completely free of charge.
Workflowy Limitations
Limitations for Task Management
- Workflowy does not currently include reminders. Although they are an extremely popular feature request, there is no sign they are in active development.
- For this reason, I am no longer using Workflowy for my task management.
Limitations for Public Information Sharing
- Workflowy's default search box is not filtered (all the intervening outline tiers are visible). This means search results in large databases end up being extremely difficult to review.
- Fortunately, Workflowy provides 2 alternative search options that work exceptionally well. However, these options will not be immediately obvious to readers of shared content, unless you point them out.
- CTRL+K = User-friendly database-wide search
- New Nested (Hierarchical) Search
