RUN / OBSERVE / FEEDBACK / RERUN
RUN / OBSERVE / FEEDBACK / RERUN
The protocol repeatedly uses this cycle:
- RUN
- OBSERVE
- NAME WHAT IS PRESENT
- RECEIVE SPECIFIC FEEDBACK
- RERUN
- REFINE
- DECIDE WHAT TO RETAIN.
FIRST RUN
Contains:
- adrenaline;
- discovery;
- unexpected impulses;
- incomplete structure.
OBSERVATION
Addresses what actually happened rather than what was intended.
RERUN
The second attempt tests whether:
- a useful event can recur;
- structure can support spontaneity;
- precision can increase;
- material can remain alive.
CRAFT
Craft develops when the performer gives full attention during rehearsal rather than postponing commitment until performance.
