Cinema as psychic topology
In Meshes of the Afternoon, repetition, subjective movement, doubling, temporal loops and impossible continuity turn cinema away from continuous external recording toward constructed psychic space.
A staircase, door, room or street can recur as a structure of subjective experience. Repeated action is not simply identical; each return alters meaning: repetition as psychic transformation.
This connects indirectly to the framed body: the camera no longer only frames an external body; camera and editing construct a subjective body-space. This is an indirect relation, not a claim that Deren belongs inside the Framed Body genealogy.
