VIEWPOINTS, SPACE & RELATIONAL COMPOSITION
VIEWPOINTS, SPACE & RELATIONAL COMPOSITION
Generator: Day 1 Viewpoints/grid work, spatial relationships, near/far tasks, peripheral vision, and group impulse.
The workshop uses Viewpoints practically through straight-line movement, stop, turn, fall, group impulse, grid, spatial balance, and near/far relationships. Spatial awareness becomes useful because relationship is readable: a person moving close to one body while avoiding another already creates social information.
SPACE → RELATION → DRAMATURGY.
This is not a general statement of Viewpoints philosophy and should not be collapsed into Lloyd’s own methodology. Lloyd uses related compositional tools toward human, social, and semantic legibility.
Relation to Viewpoints / Roel & Arjan: spatial and compositional method used toward a different dramaturgical emphasis—Viewpoints foregrounds horizontal attention and composition; Lloyd uses spatial relation to produce human/social legibility.
