POOL OF POSSIBILITIES — CHOICE & COMMITMENT
POOL OF POSSIBILITIES — CHOICE & COMMITMENT
Generator
The longer conversation with Eddie about creation.
A student explains that creative experimentation causes them to try too many things, get lost, lose the original idea and become overwhelmed. Eddie answers that this is normal. Trying many things creates a pool of possibilities.
The process can involve: generate → generate → generate → generate → select. Eventually a decision has to be made—not because the artist knows the result is perfect, but because they need to commit.
Eddie says: time forces the decision. This transforms uncertainty from failure into a normal phase of creation.
