"Rather than do so in states where it's currently the only way to comply, Aylo has instead blocked visitors from those states from viewing porn.” Those blocks, commonly known as geoblocks, use a person's IP address, a unique computer identification code, to see from which states viewers are currently accessing the website. But geoblocks are easy to circumnavigate with the use of software that masks geolocation and makes use of pseudonym-like IP addresses.
