1934 Engelbert Dollfuss assassinated
Schlögl was an advocate of racial anti-Semitism: Together with Engelbert Dollfuß, the later Federal Chancellor and founder of the Austrofascist corporate state, he unsuccessfully introduced the motion at the general meeting of the Cartel Association in 1920 that members of the associations should not have direct Jewish relatives up to the generation of their grandparents, Jews should therefore be denied membership by means of an Aryan paragraph.[5]
