Nolan co-founded The Sol Foundation with sociocultural anthropologist Peter Skafish on August 15, 2023.[34] It is a think tank whose mission involves examining the philosophical, policy, and scientific implications of UAP, conducting research on the issue, and providing informed policy recommendations to governments.[35] The foundation focuses on encouraging government transparency, promoting collaborative academic efforts, and conducting scientifically robust studies of UAP technologies. They also aim to understand the potential social impacts of confirming the reality of UAP.[36]
