It starts out by saying hey you know what am I willing to trade I'll trade this for that make it worth it to myself to stop destroying my own life I persuade my sin nature by showing it this action will make it happier in the long run well it's still about happiness that's what the nature focuses on

If you become sober in the pursuit of your own happiness that is just as much as sin is if you keep doing it
