It's not about getting 'help'

Help is something humans provide. They are 'helping' you to change, to stop behavior, to heal or whatever. God promises a way of escape. Then they do their own way and get help doing it your own way.

They are helping you disobey God who said take up your cross, walk in the spirit, and take the way of escape.

It's not about change, not about growth, not about healing, and CERTAINLY not about 'resilience' (i.e., handling a relapse).

ADDICTION IS IRRELEVANT. He applies stuff to addiction, like God is not going to take it away, to individual temptations. This arises from the idea that the condition you are in when you are tempted matters. It does not. God will provide an escape no matter what your condition. Your condition is ALWAYS wretched and helpless.
