Shuttle Breeding
Shuttle breeding is a technique that speeds up the breeding cycle for plants by growing genetic material in different environments to produce two generations per year. The technique was developed by Norman Borlaug in the 1940s at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre (CIMMYT) in Mexico.
