S2: designing circle structures

Nested circles help distribute tasks and authority with intention and clarity. If you know how to turn the different operations into circles, you can help them operate autonomously and therefore smoothly and with ease.

Reflection questions:

What’s the difference between a General Circle and a Mission Circle?

_A General Circle_ is the operational diffusement hub and driver of the general actions taken.

_A Mission Circle_ is the discerner of the destination and reviewer of routes taken to realize the organization's vision.

What are signs for the “too few circles” and the “too many circles” syndrome?

_Too few circles_ = not enough specificity to accurately discern actions and measure feedback of past actions taken.

_Too many circles_ = people saying that they have to many meetings, not enough power in domain to make necessary decision, to much overlap of circles where “traffic” builds up.
