Camera Issues (Archived)

• sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oem-solutions-group/intel-ipu6
• sudo apt install linux-modules-ipu6-generic-hwe-22.04 linux-modules-ivsc-generic-hwe-22.04
• sudo apt install libcamhal-ipu6ep0
• sudo reboot

In addition to the steps you ran, I also ran -

In Terminal:

1. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oem-solutions-engineers/oem-projects-meta
2. sudo apt install oem-somerville-tentacool-meta
3. sudo apt update
4. sudo apt full-upgrade
5. sudo systemctl poweroff
6. sudo cheese \-d "Intel MIPI Camera"

Cheese application only works at the root in terminal, but once relaunched, error still occurs.

Tested another camera app - successful

Tested in Zoom - camera loaded.

sudo apt remove v4l2loopback-dkms

sudo apt install linux-modules-ipu6-generic

sudo apt install ubuntu-oem-keyring # necessary for the following repository

sudo add-apt-repository deb http://dell.archive.canonical.com/ noble somerville

sudo apt install libcamhal0

Reboot
