epinephrine (ligand) binds to G protein embedded in cell membrane,
which releases an alpha subunit, which

binds to Adenylyl cyclase which
converts ATP to cAMP which

activates protein kinase which
releases the catalytic subunits which become phospylated by ATP
(so they area activated by having picked up a phosphate)....

it then drops off that phosphate to phosphorylase which acts on glycone to

release glucose .
