I archived my Livemail today to 1 TB drive.

Here's how: it's EZ.

Windows Live Mail stores the e-mail database by default in the folder C:\Documents and Settings loginname= Bob

\Local Settings Application Data\

Microsoft \Windows Live Mail (XP) or << C:\Usersloginname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail (Vista).>>

Note: different location from Email in Outlook Express.

loginname is Bob; note folders have much better names now than under OE; they are

Pacbell (de ...) Pacbell (ex ...) and Pacbell (sy ... )

just copy those to a folder on the external HD.
