strucutre, support, transport mvmt

MT = microtubule diam 25 nm. involved in mitotic spindle and in cilia, flagella,

and transport.

intermed fialments: diam 10 nm. (struc support... like springs in a mattress)

they resist mechanical stress (like springs) and retain shape.

microfilaments: diam abt 7 nm... movement of the cell from within...

eg in mitosis (pinched in the middle) or

ameboid motion... with pseudopods... engulf food.
