Chip Kaplove MD in CAJEM Jan-Mar 2006
<br/>
describes this:
<br/>
take a one foot loop of stockinet that is draped over the patients proximal forearm which
<br/>
he keeps at 90 degr in his lap while he sits.
<br/>
You step into the loop and apply your weight to slowly pull down the humeral head
inferiorly.
<br/>
After a littel external rotation, you release the weight of your foot and the shoulder
slides back where it belongs.
<br/>
See description in Am J Sports Med 1995; 23: 369-371 ... The Snowbird Technique.
