I discuss with Jill Tarter after:

Kepler (she says) has a list of 700 candidates.  They are quite limited

as far as their means of verification of candidates.  So,  they've kept 350 private

for themselves  (prob the best, I suspect)  and have placed the other 350 on their web site

for others to verify.

Note:  Geoff Marcy estimates there are abt 1 trillion planets in the Milky Way!!!!

(Seth:  cud be off by 50% or so but that's typical in astronomy..  who cares.)

Geoff thinks abt half of stars have planets.

Ridiculous to assume that there is no life on any of them.  see my notes... attached.
