Charlie Rose show on Jan 22 2010 had the debaters in

the mock negotiation at Harvard...

Gary Sick,  Graham Allison, Nic Burns etc.

Gary and Graham made this point...

Every single day IRAB makes another 6 pound of LEU  (lightly enriched uranium)  and

every 9 months has another bomb's worth of LEU.  

The IAEA repeatedly verifies that.

2)  Crippling sanctions against IRAN will not be possible to impose cuz they

require cooperation of China, Russia and others.  (eg  blocking Iran's sale of

oil, which is 80% of their economy or blocking their importation of gasoline.)

Also,  it might be politically easier for the USA to bomb Iran than to block Iranian

oil, which wud cause a spike in the price of oil and cripple our economy..

3)  They worry abt  Iran takihng its centrifuges underground and making it

impossible to monitor  (and blocking IAEA inspectors altogether.).

Gary and Graham agree that  IRAN will have nuclear capabilities and bombs

and there is prob. nothing we can do about it.</p>
