Adding Images to Notes in OS X

It's been a while since I've been able to be able to paste images into notes on OS X and I've been missing the functionality. So I thought I'd share how I've worked around it.
Unfortunately, WebBrain won't display the HTML code, so if you are viewing this in WebBrain, open the attached text file for complete steps.
To insert an image into TheBrain Notes on OS X

Save the image you want to put in notes as a file, it can be .jpg or .png.

Activate the thought you want to add the image to.

In the Thought tab, click the folder icon (or if you have a keyboard accelerator set up, use that). This will open the folder for the thought in Finder.

If a folder called PersonalBrain Notes already exists, go to the next step, otherwise click ⌘ + N to create a new folder and call it PersonalBrain Notes.

Open the PersonalBrain Notes folder and click ⌘ + i. This will open the information window. Drag select the path next to Where: and ⌘ + c to copy it.

Back in TheBrain, from the Notes window choose View > Code View. This will change the notes window to show the HTML Code.

Locate the area you want to add the image, and then enter the following code:

Substitute [Copied path] for the path you copied and [FileName.extension] for the file name. It should look something like:

Now copy the image from it's location into the PersonalBrain Notes folder. DO NOT move the file into the folder before entering the code into TheBrain Notes, if you do it will be deleted and unrecoverable.

Choose View > Design View in TheBrain notes to switch back to the normal view. You should now have an image in your notes.

Bonus tip: If you use TextExpander, create a snippet with the path already inserted and that prompts you for the folder name and file name. This will allow you to copy just the folder name and enter the file name when you expand the snippet. I've created the snippet tbimg which is:
