Web Page Indexing

When you attach a web page as an attachment to TheBrain, it adds the text on the web page, parsing the text on the site to include it in extended and advanced search results in the content section.

The text from attachments and web pages are stored in text files in the [Brain Name]_Brain\txt folder. That file is associated with the thought or attachment. I don't know how it associates them, I have never been able to correlate the .txt file numerical system with a thought/attachment.

The Brain periodically re-indexes the contents of web pages so the information is up-to-date. You can control how often the index occurs, or disable it completely by going to Options > Preferences > Search and setting refresh Web pages index.

To stop the index occurring at the time you attach a web page, uncheck the Index URL attachments box.
