Practice: Black Diamond

How to apply?

❖Create everyone in presence, limitless

❖Identify something in someone’s life tied to a frustration

➢where in the body/awareness

➢show a gesture

❖How much % of this non-violent power are you allowing yourself to experience/feel right now, in our context?

➢Invite assumption checking to avoid (self-dampening) not allowing to feel our own power within oneself “because there’s pplaround”.

❖Feel into the “creative” aspect of this power (you know what went wrong, therefore you know how things should be)

❖Use the natural breath flow to INTEGRATE the power rising

❖Allow them to make an action using backup questions:

➢Can be a “sharing of impact without blaming/owned”

➢Can be creating a new “structure” in their work or life

➢Can be making a new agreement with a partner

➢Can be showing a boundary

➢Can be checking an assumption of possible consequence

❖ Give a debrief and if applicable the explanation about the steps that just were performed, so that the person can contextualize it later and find it again.

How to apply ? (Long version)

❖See everyone in presence “limitless”;

❖Identify something in someone’s life tied to a frustration or anger, then:

➢where do you feel it the body/awareness? display the gesture of frustration?

➢is there any self-care/compassion or self-pity?

➢Is there ‘clarity’ about a No ? What are you saying No to? Let’s identify the boundary

➢What % of the (nonviolent)power underneath the anger, are you allowing yourself to experience/feel right now, in your body? (start with intense clarity if needed)

➢What’s a reason you may not allow yourself to feel more of it? Could there be (social) assumptions to check with people in the room, to feel more free to increase that % ? (ex:“Is it welcome? OR People will feel offended if I feel powerful?, OR will you support/stand for me if I show up?”) Is this power negative, neutral, or constructive?

❖ Let’s feel into the “creative/constructive” aspect of this power: you know what went wrong, therefore you know how things should be; the quality of ‘wisdom’ is here. Let’s welcome it?

❖ Use the_{ natural breath flow}_ to

INTEGRATE the power rising, go slow, not intense.

❖ Sink into all the qualities that may come with: concentration, inner sovereignty, etc..

❖ Allow them to make an action using backup questions:

➢Can be a “sharing of impact without blaming/instead owning our exp.”

➢ Can be creating a new “structure” in their work or life

➢Can be showing a boundary / Can be making a new agreement with a partner

➢Can be checking an assumption of possible consequence

❖ Give a debrief, and if it’s relevant: the explanation about the steps that just were performed, so that the person can contextualize it later and find it again.
