Why Case-based approaches don't scale

- We can map Propensity and we can map Dispositions in a complex system
- Dispositionality in CAS: Can't for sure predict where things are but have a probability of certain things being more or less likely
- Propensity in CAS: things appear to be stable but we don't know why they are
- Propensity example: No nothing about gambling and see a Roulette wheel in gambling hall. Saw 50 reds come up in row so decide it's a repeating pattern and bet your life on it
- Nearly every Agile method I know has been based on case-based approaches where they've studied propensity without knowledge of why and that's why they don't scale
- Empiricism doesn't work under conditions of uncertainty as a way of creating methods it just doesn't work
- It doesn't mean you can't learn from things but it doesn't work
