OODA Loop

The OODA loop is a nonlinear decision-making process for dynamic situations. Considered to be an individual and organizational learning and adaption process, the OODA loop was developed by Air Force Col. John Boyd. Col. Boyd developed the OODA loop more than 40 years ago by blending his experience in the cockpit with science, strategy, warfare, early complexity thinking, and lessons from the Toyota Production System (TPS).
