OMR 06
7/28/2023:
9:12am: Speaking of comfortable beds, when I stopped in Tomah, WI a few weeks ago, I stayed in a Q Quality Inn. The room was beautiful, clean, and had the most comfortable bed. It was room 203, the bed was king size, and I slept great. I wish I had looked at the tags on the mattress and box spring to find the manufacturer but I didn’t think of it at the time. Must be the Goldilocks in me but I am reluctant to invest in a mattress and box spring that isn’t “just right.”
When I stopped for gas in Tomah, I asked the cashier why there were no Trump signs. He said, “The council decides who can post what signs and where.” What?! Some council is deciding lawn signage?
Sounds like election interference.
Later that day, I also learned that folks (mostly women) who have to seek safety from domestic violence are forced to give up their pets (likely the only love they experience). These folks must choose between their safety and their love. This results in a number of homeless pets without love and women who are now fighting for their safety without love. My goal is to create a no-kill pet shelter with a focus on caring for these pets until the women (or men) can reclaim their loved pet safely. In addition, I will foster pets that need to be re-homed for whatever reason and accept reservations for pets whose owners need overnight “doggie day care” or “kitty day care.” As a bonus, I proposed to my brother (a psychotherapist) that he could do pet therapy with clients who would benefit from building affection-based relationships; teaching them how to love and be responsible for another being. I spoke with my brother about the idea today and he wants me to send him research on pet therapy. He sounded pretty interested. (Note: As of 8/8/2023, I have updated plans for “The Love Barn” greatly. I have expaned it into a full blown shelter for women with pets who are victims of domestic violence. I have created a separate mindmap for it.)
I would need land in the Northwoods, I would live in a cabin on-site but a distance away from the shelter. The shelter could be modeled after one I visited about a year ago with a fellow resident (that I helped find a new dog when his died). I’m sure he will remember where it was located. I would need to speak with the administration to add to my research on the building.
The shelter would not be visible from the road, nor would the parking lot.
I’ll write more on this as it comes to me.
7:00pm: Passed #102 in the hallway. ME: “Somebody’s cooking something good.” HIM: “I just had a burger and it was good.”
Working on Derek’s brain and my friend, Joann, asked if I could help her with a mind map of a book:
The Book of Knowledge, The Keys of Enoch. The app is jammed right now as I write, which is forcing me to abandon it for now. I can’t even turn it off or I will lose everything that’s in it. (Update as of 8/8/2023: God will not permit any time of reproduction of this book, not even notes, so you better get your own copy for $50 and make notes in the actual book. Get one here: books
