Minimum standards
Study for understanding and service, not merely accumulation; connect learning with contemplation, application, teaching and discovery of gaps.
Important relationships
Spiritual authorities, teachers, students, devotees and people who receive the benefit of applied learning.
Main capabilities required
Reading and hearing, understanding, contemplation, memory where appropriate, connection, application, teaching and identifying gaps.
Main recurring responsibilities
Study, reflection, application, teaching, note processing and continued improvement in service-supporting competence.
Typical projects that may arise
No projects, books or subjects are created here. Future learning structures may support shastra, academics, teaching and practical service.
Protection from interference
Learning must not become anxiety-driven planning, a substitute for service, or a way of avoiding actual application.
Delegation and successor
Learning itself remains personal, but educational systems and teaching knowledge should eventually be made transferable to teachers and successors.
Role conflicts and resolution
May conflict with direct service, family, health, Gurukula and community responsibilities. Study should serve higher priorities and be allocated realistically rather than expanding without limit.
